Study with Flashcards
Check whether you remember a word you have learned. Look at the word, try to recall its meaning, then flip the Flashcard to compare. Choose the rating that matches your recall.
Before you start
Open a lesson with saved learning terms. If the app is still preparing the content, wait for it to finish and try again.
Study a card
- Choose Flashcard in the lesson to open a session.
- Look at the front and try to recall the answer. For example, when you see deadline, think of its meaning.
- Click or tap the card to reveal its meaning and any other available information.
- Choose the rating that matches your recall, then wait for the app to record it and continue.
| Button | When to choose it |
|---|---|
| Still learning | You did not remember, were unsure, or needed to see the answer first. |
| Know | You remembered before flipping the card. |
These buttons currently use English labels in both interface languages. Know is your own assessment; this mode does not check a typed answer.
Browse cards inside a lesson
You can also flip cards in the preview on the lesson page. To submit recall ratings there, turn on Track progress. When it is off, flipping and moving between cards only lets you browse the content.
What you should see
The session shows your progress and a message when it is complete. The review schedule may take a short time to update. Choosing Know does not mean your level will increase immediately after every card.
If something goes wrong
- No cards to review: the lesson may have no ready content, or no remaining due or unlearned cards.
- No rating buttons: reveal the answer first; in the lesson preview, also check Track progress.
- A rating cannot be recorded: use the retry option and wait for the app to confirm it was recorded.
- Audio does not play: you can continue studying the text on the card.
Know when to review again
Return to your library and find the terms due for review.
