Your first study session
Start with one word you want to remember. Create an English at work lesson, save deadline with its meaning hạn chót, then try recalling it with a Flashcard.
Before you start
Sign in to MemorizeKit in your browser and open My Library.
1. Create a lesson
Choose New Lesson. Enter English at work in Title, then choose Create Lesson.
The app opens your new lesson after it is created. For more detail, read Create your own lesson.
2. Add your first word
In the lesson, choose Add Term and enter:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Term | deadline |
| Meaning 1 | hạn chót |
If suggestions appear, you can select one and check its meaning, or enter your own. Choose Add to Lesson and wait for the word to appear in the list.
Read Add words, phrases, and sentence patterns if you want to add meanings or examples.
3. Try a Flashcard
- Choose Flashcard in the lesson.
- Look at deadline and try to recall its meaning before flipping the card.
- Flip the card to compare.
- Choose Know if you remembered, or Still learning if you need more practice.
This is your own assessment of your recall. You do not need to choose Know if you only remembered after seeing the answer.
What you should see
You now have a lesson containing deadline and have practiced recalling its meaning. When you return to your library, the lesson is there for you to keep adding content.
If the app is still preparing your content and no card appears, wait a moment and try again. If you have already studied this word, you may see a message saying there are no cards to review.
Next time
Add a few words you actually encounter during the day. When you return, read Review what is due to learn when to review again.
