Look up and listen to selected text
Understand a word while you read without leaving the webpage. For example, select deadline to check its meaning or pronunciation, then continue reading the original sentence.
Before you start
Install the extension and sign in. Use an ordinary webpage with selectable text. The toolbar may not appear on internal Chrome pages, images, or embedded page content.
Look up and listen
- Select an English word or phrase, up to 300 characters, in the page text. The MemorizeKit toolbar appears near your selection.
- Select Search to open word lookup. If the action is hidden, open More on the toolbar.
- Open a matching result to read its meanings and examples. In the extension, Examples searches your own Readings.
- To hear the selected text itself, use Pronunciation on the toolbar. Wait for audio to load and check your computer’s volume.
- Close the dialog when you are ready to continue reading.
Translate or analyze a sentence
Select Translate to see a contextual Vietnamese meaning when the feature is available. If suitable surrounding text is available, the dialog may also show the original sentence and its translation. To keep the result and ask follow-up questions, select Open in Translate once it is ready.
For a sentence of at least two words and up to 300 characters, Grammar analysis can show corrections and explanations. These are extension actions; the web app has a separate AI Assist entry point.
If an action does not work
- No toolbar: reload the page and select ordinary text outside an editable field.
- Sign-in required: open the side panel, sign in, then activate the action again.
- No word found: edit the search or use AI if credits remain; switching to AI with valid input may start generation immediately.
- No audio or a translation error: wait and retry. Disabled actions or those marked Coming soon are unavailable.
Save a word for later
Follow save webpage content to a lesson.
