Trouble importing content
Keep the error message and check whether you are importing a video or a document. They have different outcomes: a video can become a reading; a PDF or Word document supplies terms to add to a lesson.
The import tool is missing
Open My Library and look for Import material. If the import type you need is absent or unavailable, you cannot use that flow in the current version. You can still add individual terms manually.
A YouTube video is rejected
Check that you pasted a valid YouTube video link. The tool needs accessible content or suitable subtitles. Private, restricted, or unsupported videos may not import.
Read the app’s explanation. If the video is unsupported, try another public video with subtitles. Avoid resubmitting the same link while an import is still processing.
A PDF or Word file cannot be read
- Use a file type supported by the upload dialog and check its displayed limits.
- Open the file on your device first to check that it is readable.
- A scanned PDF may contain only images. Try a version with text you can select and copy.
- A webpage link is not a PDF or Word file. Do not paste article links into a field meant for files or videos.
If processing produces no useful terms, try clearer source text or add the words you need manually.
The connection drops during import or saving
Wait for the current status to finish and follow the retry instructions. If the result is unclear, check Readings or the destination lesson before starting a new import.
For PDF and Word imports, review the suggested terms and choose a destination lesson before confirming. Reading a file does not mean every term has already been saved to your library.
Try a short document
Follow add learning terms from PDF or Word with a short file so the result is easier to check.
