Cannot hear audio

Try playing another term first. This helps you tell whether the problem affects one word or all audio on your device.

Check the basics

  1. Click the speaker or play button directly.
  2. Turn up your device volume and check that the browser tab is not muted.
  3. If you use Bluetooth headphones, check whether sound is going to that device.
  4. Wait if the control shows a loading state, then retry when available.

A browser may block automatic playback until you interact with the page. Try the play button before changing other settings.

Only one term is silent

Not every term has pronunciation audio available. If the speaker control is disabled or says audio is unavailable, try another term.

In a reading created from a video, playback also depends on the source video. A removed or restricted video may not play even when its text is still visible.

Every term is silent

Play another sound on the same device to check your speakers and headphones. Then return to MemorizeKit, check your connection, and reload the page if you have no unsaved edits.

If the app cannot load audio, try again later. Repeated clicking will not make audio become available faster.

The problem keeps happening

Note the affected word or reading, browser, device, and displayed message. Say whether the problem affects one term or every term so support can check the right place.

Find the pronunciation controls
