Which study mode should I choose?
Choose a mode for what you want to do: recall a word yourself, answer a checked question, or practice using words with AI-assisted questions.
First, open a Lesson containing some learning terms, such as “English at work” with “deadline — hạn chót”.
Choose for your goal
| You want to… | Choose | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Recall a meaning before seeing it | Flashcards | Flip a card and choose Still learning or Know yourself. |
| Check your answer | Learn | Choose or type an answer, then read the checked result. |
| Try more AI-assisted questions | Practice | Answer questions and read feedback and reference answers when available. |
With “deadline”, a Flashcard lets you try to recall “hạn chót”. Learn asks you to answer the question shown. Practice may use the word in another context. The exact questions depend on the available content.
Know is a self-rating, not a checked answer. A correct result in Learn or Practice does not guarantee lasting recall either. If Practice is unavailable in the version you are using, start with Learn.
Check which terms are included
- Open a Lesson to practice within it, or start from the Library for a broader selection.
- Choose a mode in the practice section.
- Read the session information before answering.
Regular Learn and Practice sessions prioritize due terms, then add eligible new terms. “All” in this scope does not mean every saved term will appear. Browsing all Flashcards in a Lesson can include terms that are not due; a Flashcard review session prioritizes due terms, then new ones.
If there are no questions
Check that your Lesson contains terms. If you selected starred terms, change the scope or star the terms you want to study. A loading error needs Retry; an empty list does not always mean you remember everything.
Try one mode
Start a Learn session to answer a question and read the feedback.
