Add words, phrases, and sentence patterns
Save a word you have just encountered with its meaning so you can practice remembering it later. Each saved word, phrase, or sentence pattern is a Term. Try deadline — hạn chót.
Before you start
Open a lesson in your library. If you do not have one yet, create a lesson first.
Add a term
- In the lesson, choose Add Term.
- Enter the word or sentence pattern in Term. For example: deadline.
- Under Meanings, enter hạn chót in Meaning 1.
- If suggestions appear, you can choose a suitable one and check its content. You can also continue entering your own content.
- Choose Add to Lesson and wait for the save to finish.
Do you need every field?
To start with a word, enter the word and at least one meaning. You do not need an image or example yet.
Choose Add more details to add information such as the term type, definitions, or examples. For a phrasal verb or sentence pattern, check the term type in the detailed view before saving. You can return with Use simple mode without losing your entries.
If a word has several meanings, put each meaning on a separate row. Keep the meanings relevant to what you are learning.
What you should see
Your word appears in the lesson’s Terms list. Open it to check the saved content. If the app says it is syncing, it is preparing the content for study. Wait a moment before opening a session.
If the term does not save
- A term or meaning is missing: fill in the highlighted field and save again.
- The term is already in the lesson: find and use the existing term, or edit it if needed.
- Saving fails: keep the dialog open to retain your entries, read the message, and try again. If the error says the content has changed, reload it before editing again.
Try recalling the word you saved
Open Flashcards, look at the word, and try to recall its meaning before flipping the card.
