Find and open readings
Choose a topic you care about to meet new words in context. You can read the full text of a public reading before adding it to your own library.
Before you start
Sign in to MemorizeKit. Readings in the main navigation helps you discover available material. The Readings tab in My Library contains your own readings. These lists serve different purposes.
Find a suitable reading
- Choose Readings in the main navigation.
- Enter a topic in Search readings or topics. Try work if you are learning English for work.
- Use Filter to select a topic or reading type. Choose All to remove the filter. Use Sort to change the order.
- Open a reading to see its title, source information, and full text. Read a few paragraphs to decide whether it suits you.
- To keep it in your library and open the reader, choose Open for listening. Once the reader opens, press play to start listening if audio is available.
Where is the reading saved?
Open My Library, choose the Readings tab, and select the title to continue. Viewing a reading in the catalog does not add it to your library or record listening progress. Open for listening performs the add step.
Adding a reading does not create individual words for Flashcard practice. You still need to save the language you want to study in a lesson.
If you cannot find a reading
- No results: try a shorter keyword, or clear the search and choose All.
- A reading no longer opens: return to the catalog and choose another; reload if a connection error appears.
- Asked to sign in again: sign in, then reopen the catalog.
- No audio: continue with the text. You can start learning without audio.
Save a word from the reading
